Carlos "Los 1" Ramirez II is a truly unique youth educator and hip-hop performer, skilled in presenting a positive message of character and sexual health to youth internationally. His relevant appearance and teaching style combined with over 10 years of speaking and rapping experience enables him to connect with students and young adults of culturally diverse backgrounds. Los 1 communicates in a bold yet compassionate way that elicits overwhelmingly positive responses from audiences large and small.

Los 1 is a certified instructor for several abstinence-centered, sexual health classroom curricula including: WAIT Training, Project Reality Game Plan, Navigator and Choosing the Best. Los 1 speaks to thousands of youth every year in the Hillsborough County Florida Schools, as well as at special events in schools and community events nationwide. He uses music to communicate a clear message - establish boundaries and goals in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle and achieve personal success - to a generation that is bombarded by confusing, negative and sexually charged messages.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, raised in Tampa, FL, Los 1 combines the best of east and south coast USA sound in the six hip hop albums he's released to date, including his latest for IMPACT, Life Skills. This album delivers a positive message of sexual integrity and the real consequences of engaging in risk behaviors through powerful lyrics and vivid storytelling. A longtime member of Tampa's own Fla.vor Alliance Hip Hop Crew, he has collaborated and been featured on more than 29 other local and nationally produced hip-hop albums.

Los 1 has traveled worldwide and appeared at many National Abstinence Clearinghouse and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services conferences, as well as several Florida Department of Health "Great to Wait" Sexual Abstinence Rallies.  Los is a sought-after youth speaker from New York to Alaska.

Los 1 has received many accolades but is most proud of the awards presented to him by our U.S. Armed Forces. In 2002, one year after 9/11, he was invited to rap at the Pentagon, and in 2003 he was awarded the "Combat Support Speaker" at the Yokota Air Force Base in Yokota, Japan, home of the 374th Airlift Wing. Two Military Coin Awards were presented to Los 1 for Outstanding Assistance to our country.
